Products with the Austrian Eco-label and quiet equipment
The naBe criteria for horticultural products and services include requirements for soil conditioners, irrigation systems, garden tools, loss lubricants and garden services.
Essential criteria for the procurement of horticultural products and services:
- Soil conditioners and lubricants must meet the requirements of the Austrian Eco-label
- Irrigation systems must be designed in such a way that they can be operated in a water-saving manner
- Quiet gardening equipment, e.g. equipment with electric motors should be chosen
- Staff training on environmentally friendly gardening methods
- Reduction in the use of chemical pesticides
To promote biodiversity, the use of pesticides should be avoided as far as possible in public green spaces.
